About Patriots of Malawi
Our Mission
Patriots Malawi is a non-profit organization registered in Mw to address socio-economic issues affecting the Malawian people. It was registered in 2023 to complement both government and non governmental efforts to fill gaps in health, education, agriculture and technological spaces in every district of Malawi from Chitipa to Nsanje. The immediate area of focus is the health sector under which each public hospital from Nsanje to Chitipa shall receive top quality medical equipment and supplies upwards of US$500,000 in 40-foot containers. The total number thereof is 50 between 2024 and 2025. Under the health sector, Patriots and Smiling Surgeons has started to bring medical missions to Malawi. So far, two medical missions have been delivered which has resulted in our fellow Malawians receiving maxillofacial surgeries for free which would have cost Malawi's taxpayers thousands of dollars if the same.
We started Patriots of Malawi with the goal of:
- Mobilizing human resources through networking with other interest groups and stakeholders to undertake social-economic projects for the public good in Malawi;
- Mobilizing financial and material resources both locally and internationally for the benefit of charitable activities in various sectors including social, educational and health spheres;
- Mobilizing appropriate technology and expertise from the international community for the enhancement of local communities;
- Liaising with fellow Malawians and well wishers in the diaspora, to identify potential donors of medical supplies and equipment, educational materials, agricultural tools and equipment for the public good.
Our Current Partnerships and Projects
Patriots, Malawi has entered into partnership within Malawi (Ministry of Health, Christian Association of Malawi, Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs) and in North America (Smiling Surgeons which is Patriots' sister organization, representing Malawians in diaspora), under the patronage of Malawi's Ambassador to Washington Justice Esme Chombo and ProjectCURE to bring to Malawi medical equipment and supplies for public hospitals in 40-foot containers totaling 50 in number. The aggregate medical gift in this respect will be approximately US$30 million. The medical equipment and supplies hereunder are to be delivered between 2024 and 2025.

- Zomba Central Hospital
- Bwaila District Hospital
- Nkhatabay District Hospital
- Mzuzu Central Hospital
- Likuni Mission Hospital

Smiling Surgeons is a Patriots' sister organization based in USA. Its patron is our Ambassador to USA Justice Esme Chombo who together with fellow Malawians in North America are working hard to fundraise for shipment costs of US$36,000 per container
Smiling Surgeons is dedicated to providing high-quality surgical care to underserved communities around the world. Our mission is to make surgical care accessible to all, and to advance global health by promoting surgical education and patient advocacy.
Project Cure
Project C.U.R.E delivers life-saving medical equipment, supplies and services to meet the needs of people in poverty, disasters and violence. They provide the necessary medical equipment and supplies so that doctors have the resources to care for their patients.

Our facilities primarily serve rural and hard-to-reach areas, providing crucial, high-quality health services to some of Malawi’s poorest and most underserved populations.
